さまざまな「お盆のかたち」を知り、ともに考える。私の「お盆棚」をつくってみよう。
Let’s learn, share and discuss about various forms of Obon, and make your own Obon-dana!
毎年決まった時期に先祖を迎え、そして送り返すという「お盆」の風習。
これには、いったいどのような意味があるのでしょうか？
「お盆」とひとくちにいっても、地方によって、家庭によって、驚くほど違う「お盆のかたち」と流儀があるようです。
すでにそのような風習から縁遠くなってしまっている人もいるでしょう。
それでもこの時期、スーパーにはお盆用品や供物が並び、
先祖や死者について思いを馳せる機会も多いのではないでしょうか。
また、日本に住む様々な国の出身の方にも、それぞれ「お盆」にあたる行事があるのでしょうか？
そんなことも聞いてみたい。話してみたい。
さまざまな「お盆のかたち」を学び、ともに「語り合い」、
その中に込められた祖先の世界観を読み解いていきましょう。
The custom of “Obon”, is to welcome and send back the ancestors at a certain season every year. It seems that each region and family has its own way of doing Obon, which is surprisingly different.
In this workshop, we will learn and experience the customs of Obon.
We will also discuss similar customs in different countries, and make our own “Obon-dana(=shelf)”.
Please let us hear about the customs of your own country.
No interpreter is provided, but English speaking staff is available.

《持ち物／What to bring》
昼食、飲み物（各自持参）、長袖シャツ(虫よけ用)／your lunch, drinks, long sleeved clothing
※熱中症予防のため飲み物は必ずお持ちください。なお、美術館付近には、コンビニエンスストア等昼食を購入できるお店はありません。
There are no convenience stores or other places to buy lunch near the museum.
※ワークショップ中に隣接の美術の森緑地に出ますが、蚊が多くいます。長袖シャツをご用意いただく他、虫よけ等各自で対策をお願いします。
There are many mosquitos in the forest next to the venue, please bring long-sleeved shirts and insect repellent if necessary.
《内容》
旧家の方のお話を伺ったり、お盆の古い資料や絵、写真や記録映像を見たりします。外国の方へのインタビューも紹介。そして、江戸の「紋切り」や自然の素材を使って「私の盆棚」を作ったあと、はけの森美術館の庭に、小さな「お盆のかたち」を展示します。

《講師／Lecturer》
下中菜穂（しもなかなぼ）／Nabo Shimonaka, (Artist)
造形作家、行事研究家。江戸時代の切り紙「もんきり」と出会い、暮らしの中で息づいてきた「切り紙」や伝統的な「かたち」、風習、行事などを研究。書籍の出版やワークショップ、展覧会などを通して私たちの今の暮らしの中に活かしていく活動を続ける。「旧暦カフェ」は「知る、やってみる、問い続ける」をモットーに、旧暦の日取りで行っている実験的なワークショップのシリーズ。
